Rants and Raves.

I constantly see feed on my Facebook of girls who are physically ripped to pieces, then verbally ripped to pieces. Just because you don’t personally like someones physique, doesn’t mean you should suddenly start speaking your mind. Regardless if its physically appealing, how is the dedication the commitment the complete and utter consistency and persistence to keep pushing hard each and every single day, not?

This lifestyle isn’t easy. We have our good days and probably double the bad ones.
But what makes us stand out the most, is that we don’t give up, ESPECIALLY during the grueling days that present themselves. We push harder those days. We wake up tired and hungry but with each day that passes we are one step closer to achieving dreams we have made for ourselves.

How many of you can say you do that on a daily basis? Consistently push 100% for something that you hope one day all comes together? I must admit.. just writing these words right here right now makes me feel like just because I don’t feel accomplished in this world yet, that I will one day become unstoppable. I know who I am, but I also know who I want to be. I come off as mean and intimidating to those who don’t know me. I think they call that a “bitch” nowadays? The thing is though, is I can be. I’ll admit it. I have been so hurt in the last 24 years that its true, I can be ruthless at times. I don’t take shit life is way too short for that, but just because I have a tough exterior doesn’t mean I am not this soft loving person inside. I want to break this habit that everyone has to be mean to people they don’t know. As the days tick on, I realize how much hate is indeed infesting this world and how little love is spread. This world needs people sticking together, to work together. Whatever anyone amounts to be in this world, we will never leave it. The ground is where we all will lay to rest one day, a ground that lie just about every enemy we think we’ve had.Sorry, I can get carried away. Point is, if we arent bettering ourselves each and every day, we have no room to speak about others. Yes, opinions are like assholes, every one has one.. Well aware, but why try to belittle someones accomplishments? We know it clearly has nothing to do with them, but something you may be lacking in your own life. Anyways I am no ones therapist, so lets keep it simple. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.

Silence is a source of great strength.

Remember that.

So with each day forward I want to become something better. I don’t want to be that person that everyone thinks I am. I will always have those certain walls up but doesn’t mean I don’t have a door and I can’t come out and play. Little do you know, I want to spread my knowledge and help those who are looking for it. I want to help you change your life.  I want to help you feel the power behind having a passion, achieving an accomplishment.

I will one day leave my mark in this world. I think although still very naive and opinionated, that I am strong, willed enough to push through these obstacles I set for myself. Conquer your mind and you can conquer the world.

Day 63 Sunday

On Average its been about 2 months, and I have about 1 month left (give or take). Things always get a little stressful the closer it becomes so maybe this is my disclaimer.

Anywho.

Happy Easter Day (sorry Monday people)..

The Food Log

Hmmm.. I think I chugged some muscle egg at 930am, ate some “lace cookies” and went back IN bed. Finished my blog (that was posted today).

1130am chugged some more muscle egg and probably ate some of the “lace cookies”…
230pm Mom made a pork roast with veggies.. I made corn. Because I love corn. and probably had a spoonful or 2 more then I should have of the potatoes.. since she didn’t make sweet potatoes.. :(:(

I do have to buy a shit ton more chicken and get some tuna (and start freaking liking it!).

6pm Shake. Dymatize and Chocolate Almond Butter. Should I dare add some coconut?
7pm Just kidding.. I had another lace cookie. And some black bean brownie with protein chocolate almond butter.

My stomach is going nuts.

&& Here is the recipe for the lace cookies.. mine didn’t turn out like cookies, but it was still so fucking good. I also don’t have the recipe for the black bean brownies because I just googled searched and used the first one I thought was easy enough.. But I didn’t use baking powder lmfao. Ugh.

Chocolate Lace Cookies

(with no added sugar!)

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 2 T cocoa powder
  • scant 1/4 tsp salt
  • level 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • packed 1/4 cup pitted dates (45g)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (170g)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 T unrefined coconut oil

Blend first five ingredients until almonds and dates are finely pulverized. In a separate bowl, combine vanilla, oil, and 3/4 c of the chocolate chips. Melt (I microwaved 1 minute, then stirred). Pour the dry ingredients, as well as the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips, into the wet. Stir until evenly mixed, making sure to break up any big clumps. It’ll seem dry at first, but keep stirring until it all looks dark and shiny.

Bake at 355 F for 7-8 minutes. (Take out when still a bit undercooked, as these continue to cook as they cool.)

Pumpkin Chocolate-Chip Muffin

(can be gluten-free!)

  • 3 T flour (See directions below, for flour notes)
  • 1 T canned pumpkin (or sweet potato, applesauce, or even butternut squash, if you can’t find pumpkin)
  • pinch cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • heaping 1/16 tsp salt
  • 1/2 T or more chocolate chips
  • sweetener, such as 1 T sugar or 1 packet stevia (If using liquid sweetener, cut back other liquid)
  • 1 T plus 1 tsp nondairy milk (or part oil, if you don’t like the taste of fat-free baked goods)
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Directions: Preheat the oven to 330 degrees. (Alternatively, you can microwave these.) Mix the ingredients and pour into an oiled (or sprayed) muffin pan. Smooth top of batter. Cook for 12-15ish minutes.

The Work Out

Gym was EMMMMMPPTTTYYYYYYY :):):):) and it was awesome. Planned to go at noon because they closed at 3pm. That is enough time for a lift, core/plyo, and cardio without worrying about rests/breaks, not finding weights ext.

Standing bicep curl w/ BB concentrate till failure

25lb (DBeach arm)/ 30lb BB then
30lb (DB each arm)/ 30lb BB.

Bench Dips

BW x 20 x 4

Standing cable cicep curls

Plyo work consisted of:

Bosu Jumps. Tricep Pushback. Planks. and something else I am forgetting lol. 

Then did about 45 min of cardio. 🙂

Day 63 in Pictures..

So today was a good day. Got to lay in bed without Marley scratching at my face to wake up. I accomplished a lot by 1030am (blog wise), and was at the gym by noon. Good work out I suppose. Need to start thinning out now. Tomorrow is going to start a whole nother level.. 😦 not too excited because I mean who likes sleeping less? Not this girl, thats for damn sure. I could spend DAYS in bed… other to eat and bathroom it up, yup in bed. for days. Anywho. I ate a little more then I should had (dumb potatoes), and I ate pineapple freely, my stomach hurts. Gas’y rather. Ive had acid reflux ever since Ive was a baby.. and it sparks up from time to time.. fruit.. oj.. I’ve started to notice it with the flax (not anymore since I barely use the flax and fiber).. So I think its a good thing I have to rid of fruit in 2-3 days. This pain sucks, and tums only works so well. Well I am going to baby this till it goes away. Def sleep early tonight, have to be at the gym by 6am. Wanna a sneak peak in tomorrows day???

Btw after my work out I stopped my mcdonalds for a diet coke (guilty pleasure), I saw a bum on the corner, I turned and stopped about half way to the stop light to miss it on purpose. I had nothing on me, not even a debit card. i found the $1 for the diet coke smushed in the passenger seat. As I look back I see a van offer his hand out and give him money, and I look down in my wristlet and I see a loto ticket that I won $5 on.. so I said fuck it, and turned around and yelled “hey I don’t have any cash on me but heres a lotto ticket for $5” he laughed as he made his way over to me and thanked me. I drove away. Bless his heart.

Day 12 Have no fear; Leg day is here!

It’s Friday & It’s Leg Day & I Love It.

I got to wake up an hour later, cuddle with Marley. I’m starting to think its the simple things in life that make it so great!

I made my green smoothie (Mango, Strawberry, Banana, Flax,Fiber,Kale,Almond Milk, OJ, Water, Ice). && about my smoothies, I need to go back to GNC to get the L-carnitine in the Ice T flavor. It MADE my smoothies and now I miss it.

Okay so onto my weekend plans. I have no weekend plans. Besides working out, obviously. But I DO have to study. NOT joking. I have a test Wed and I come home too late on the weekdays to study at night.

So onto  my food for today.. As I was driving here I actually looked at my Lara Bar’s and although they DO only have 4-5 ingredients, its still a little sugar and carbs for my liking. So. I’ll either save my Lara Bars for weekends, or need to control them. Because I love them and I can’t get enough. BUT ON A LIGHTER NOTE!!!!! I’m doing GREAT. The no processed foods is actually going pretty well. I’m pretty surprised actually. I have 1 redbull I’ll drink probably 1 or 2 diet sodas, I have an almond butter packet and MAYBE a lara bar for snacks ( I was excited to have the Lara bar because its chocolate coconut mmmmmm), but I have the rest of last nights dinner (ground beef, brown rice, and broccoli) for my 2 meals at work today.

Look what I just found. :(:( I guess technically I’m not “no processed”

😦 FINE STARTING MONDAY NOTHING BUT WATER AND TEA. AWESOME. just AWESOME. 😦

BOOTY WERK

I think since I’m doing legs 2x a week, my focus on Monday will mainly be Quads, and Friday’s leg day will be Hamstrings.. Both will focus on calves. For example:

Monday:

  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Back Ext (focus on hams)
  • Leg Ext
  • Leg Press

Friday:

  • Deadlifts
  • Squats (light)
  • Lunges
  • Step Ups
  • Leg Ext (end with these, go heavy)

Like my squats on Monday will be HELLA different then my squats on Friday. Understand? lol.

So I just realized that I may not do BBH this year with Nikki…. 😦 (I’ll post a pic of Nikki and I later when I get home), but that’s really disappointing.. More so because no one told us and they posted pics on their FB of another girl.. LOL.. oh okay….  kinda funny though people are posting that they don’t care because its not Nikki or I. 😦 awwwww…. well.. It was a GREAT 2 years BIG BUCK!

2pm AND I’M JUST NOW EATING!!!! WHAT THE FUCK! I should be having my 3rd meal in an hour not my second. AND I couldn’t find the fucking Lara Bar.. obv I wasn’t meant to eat it today. lol.. So eating a portion of the leftovers and will eat again as soon as I get home.

3:17pm Food was awesome. I was still hungry though, so I’m now eating Justin’s Classic Almond Butter (190 cals) for a “snack”. Also comes in chocolate, honey, and classic. All are AWESOME.

&& QUICK UPDATE:

So.. some “drama” occurred regarding Big Buck Hunter…… Nikki has been sending me convo’s back and forth between her and Dave and something fishy is going on. It wasn’t a definite NO.. but it sure as fuck wasn’t a “yes” regarding whether or not Nikki and I are doing BBH this year :/ which isn’t SO bad.. lol I’m staying positive. My thoughts are either they,

  1. Don’t want any drama (Nikki and I are pretty popular with dem boys, LOL!)
  2. We will be used, but not as much (we get flown everywhere, maybe they are cutting costs).
  3. We still have our job.
  4. They don’t know how to tell us?
  5. They really don’t know?

Regardless of the outcome, I had a BLAST. It was a really cool experience and if I don’t continue, I hope to do something similar. Even though we had a pretty good set up going.. (flown to different states to get paid to party with your best friend?.. yeah. amazing).

530pm I finished the leftovers I had for lunch, and then had Justin’s almond butter for a snack on the way home. I took Marley out and waited for my mom to get home.

715pm I headed to the gym. READY TO FUCKING LIFT! My routine looked a little like this:

Started off with Deadlifts

  • Set 1: 50lbs x 12
  • Set 2: 50lbs x 10
  • Set 3: 60lbs x 10
  • Set 4: 7olbs x 8

But in between each set I did Back ext for 8 to 10 reps.

After deadlifting (which I could of gone heavier, but these kids already took the weight off when I returned). I did Step ups.

It’s literally how it sounds. I have 40lbs (20lbs in each hand) and did each leg 2×10 reps each.

Legs were getting a little wobbly at this point, but was excited for lunges.

Lunges were:

  • Set 1: 40lbs x 25
  • Set 2: 30lbs x25
  • Set 3: BW x 25
  • Set 4: 40lbs x 12
  • Set 5: 30lbs x 12
  • Set 6: BW x 12

I did 4 sets of these abductions adduction machines and followed with Leg Extensions:

  • Set 1: 65lbs x 12
  • Set 2: 80lbs x 12
  • Set 3: 95lbs x 9
  • Set 4: 110lbs x 8

I didn’t do lunges or planks. I was litterally shaking.. and now I’m exhausted. I made a protein shake with myofusion and pb2. I was GOING to make cauliflower pizza, but as I was cutting the cauliflower I decided I wasn’t in the mood lol. So tomorrow I will make blueberry muffins for breakfast (maybe with a ALIVE! green pea smoothie) and the cauliflower pizza. I’m really excited, Sunday I’m going to spend all day making cool dishes. Makes your lifestyle easier when you know how to prepare the foods.
