Day 41 The more a man knows, the more he forgives.

Happy St. Patty’s Day from Chicago!

1017am Woke up a little bit ago, took Marley to go potty. Waiting for home boy to wake up so we can take the children to the park.. lol.. (our dogs).. Haven;t eaten yet.. Maybe make eggs with ground turkey… I kind of want a carb, but maybe just a fruit..

1pm Took Marley to the park with Duece. They had a great time but it was SUPER fucking hot out.. and I was a little uncomfortable in my jeans.. but whatever..

3pm Lara Bar/ Flaxseed Raw cookies 1 scoop Tuna and ground turkey with some lite sour cream

 Since it is the weekend I thought Id share about cheat meals and how to go about them.. You know how everyone eats really shitty and then praises themselves when they eat something healthy… like a piece of fruit? Well its like the opposite lol..

Cheat Meals:

To everyone who is dieting, making a lifestyle change, getting healthy:

Have a cheat meal. Meal, not a cheat day. A cheat meal could set you back a day or two at the gym (if blown a little out of proportion), a cheat day will set you back a week. When you think of it like that it usually doesn’t make the food that appealing to me, especially when you kill it in the gym and visualize it not even counting because you ate so much it would take you a whole nother work out to burn it off.. yeah…. no thanks.. I’ll just take an extra scoop of PB please…..

What do I mean by cheat?

A meal once a week (POSSIBLY 2 meals per week if you actually are TRYING to lose weight because that means you are working hard. As long as your moving and burning calories (calories in vs calories out) you’ll see results). I tell my clients to have whatever they want once or twice a week to throw off their bodies. Changes up metabolism, confuses the body makes it work harder to burn it off.. ext. But more importantly we live in a world where all we see is mcdonalds or BK on every damn corner, where when we go out we want to EAT and not constantly worry about what we are putting in our mouths. We want to enjoy food and all of its preparations.. It’s life.. and not all of us can be perfect and eat clean and whole or even want to for that matter.. I would rather my client be 75% healthy and 25% what they pleased (fast food, alcohol, life), then hunching over from cardiac arrest.

What can you have on a cheat meal?

Whatever your little heart desires. Try to keep it under 2000-1500 calories.

*I have gotten extremely sick from eating super clean and then eating something processed or with high amounts of sugar. Please be careful.

Do you need a cheat meal?

No you don’t. But a cheat meal doesn’t have to be something bad. I am not trying to condone mass quanities of donuts to be scarfed down or thinking its okay to waste calories carbs and sugars on an 8oz of Coke… all I am saying is have a meal where you sit down and think “not broccoli and chicken? Ill take it”.. lol

“Because excess is encouraged during cheat meals, they cannot be overused, or you’d never be in a caloric deficit, and thus defeat the purpose of the diet. If you’re one of those incredibly rare human beings with absolutely no desire to cheat, more power to you. But others should incorporate them to provide relief in three ways: psychological, physical and social.”

What are my cheat meals?

My “cheat meals” is actually just a lighter version of my day to day diet.. I may have fruit whenever I want it.. An extra black bean brownie..

Another Tablespoon of Peanut Butter or extra scoop of cashews..

Condiments (Lite sourcream, ketchup, bbq ext)

Guidelines or helpful hints- cheat meal

A MEAL. Carbs fats, desserts, fast food whatever you want.

Try to keep the calorie content down to about 1500.

Try to fill up on protein first.

Drink water.

Know that you will be bloated in the morning.

Know that you MAY become ill after the cheat meal (depending how hard you are dieting or changing your life.. I know that if I ate something high BAD fat or high BAD sugar Id be on the toilet for the rest of the day lol )

Try to work out before hand.

Enjoy yourself (but not too much).

** this has also started binges for me, especially when I was dieting for a bikini competition, so if you are STRONG ENOUGH to discipline yourself to just one meal please go ahead and enjoy yourself.. but if you are having trouble take each day as they come. But when I would go weeks without any carbs and something looked really look at a weak part of time (also known as a trigger) I would eat myself through THOUSANDS OF CALORIES PEOPLE. THOUSANDS!! My mom can’t believe how I am not 200lbs.. Honestly.. I was probably close.. 160.. 165.. probably even heavier. Which is disgusting. And more so disgusting because it was ruining my life..

But this is why I choose my cheat meals to still be organic/ still healthy for me.. I was addicted to sugar and those binges were so bad I couldnt/didnt stop ( AGAIN, remember I have suffered years of eating disorders NOT everyone has..) But for all of my clients I tell them to have a meal once or twice.. and if they didn’t want one that was cool too more power to them.. but usually something comes up (like a sudden dinner, or someone baked you a cupcake IDK W/E), its life.. lol.. but don’t be meticulous about it.. if you have more then you thought you would have..big deal.. start again tomorrow. 🙂

5pm LA Fitness Bi’s and Tri’s

Started with BB Bicep Curls supersetted with Hammer Curls till Fail

40lbs x 12 reps / 15lbs (each hand) x till fail
40lbs x 10reps / 15lbs x till fail
50lbs x 8 reps / 15lbs x till fail
50lbs x 7 reps / 15lbs x till fail

Moved to Close Grip Bench press supersetted with BW bench dips

Bar x 15 reps/ BW x 8 reps
Bar x 15 reps/ BW x 8 reps
Bar x 12 reps/ BW x 10 reps
Bar x 12 reps/ BW x 8 reps

I did a cable curl and another excersie I can’t think of the name, but I also completely forget I did this so I am going to keep pretending I didn’t lol.

Moved to another cable curl (this time it was lower not a higher bicep curl) with a tricep pushdown.. Forgot the reps on this too, but know that the tricep pushdown I can go REAL heavy with.. Yet my arms are my weakest point.. hmmm

Any who, then did 5 Minutes of Planks

and ended with 30 min on 10-14 (incline). 🙂

7pm Went to Jewel to get dinner.

730-8pm Made and ate dinner. Steak Corn and Asparagus. See that corn was technically a cheat for me 🙂 I may also go have some pineapple in a bit 🙂 Im glad my mom cut it for me because I hate cutting pineapple.

So its about 9pm now.. Laying in bed gathering pictures and updating blogs and sending out emails.. I need to finish and call H&R block tomorrow so I can finally get my taxes done.

I did munch on flaxseed raw cookies (the chocolate flavor bc the ginger ones suck dick) and I think its messing with my stomach… Its ALL fucked up.. 😦 and Ive been getting the heart burn/acid reflux a lot lately.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder what that means.. I only eat so many things I wonder if I could figure this all out..

Well everyone enjoy your st patricks day!! I am going to relax a bit and get some rest.. pretty tired lately but super excited with how everything is coming along… I don’t think Ill be impatient anymore, give me 2 weeks I will probably completely have my abs in which will be SICK :):)

Day 14 Officially 12 weeks till NPC bikini comp!

1022am I have been up since 8am. My mom and I were suppose to go to church but she’s dead asleep. So I starting writing an L-Carnitine blog and haven’t eaten yet. I really want to make another smoothie but my mother is still passed out downstairs for some reason, and I don’t want to wake her.

I have to study today.. it’s not even funny. That and I need to do my laundry FROM START TO FINISH. lol && I really want to  make those sugar cookies. Today’s blog is going to be boring. I feel good. I have no cravings and I’m not tempted by anything so far. I did finish the corn last night, which I think is a weird fucking craving. Before I wouldn’t let myself touch corn because its the veggie that doesn’t really count as a veggie to people. Actually.. lets do some research on corn shall we…

Adding Corn to Your Flat Belly Diet

So, can you eat corn as part of a flat belly diet? As with all things, you should do so in moderation. Try to find a source for non-GMO corn in your local community, by going to a farmers’ market or asking a food co-op for assistance. When you do eat corn, be sure to count it out as a vegetable, but as a grain for your meal. So you will want to be aware of this as you plan your meals. If you eat corn with rice, for example, you are actually eating two grains per meal, which could slow your weight loss.

1130am and I finally finished my protein green smoothie. and I didn’t realize it has mushrooms in it.. haha.. oh man.. I was reading off the ingredients and my mom was pretty impressed.

I made all the meals yesterday so I’m glad she’s eating. It actually isn’t hard to make any of these recipes I’ve been making. I’m gonna BE A GREAT WIFE! haha.. actually I don’t mind cooking just the cleaning part.  So as soon as I get up, I’m going to find the sugar cookie recipe (and possibly this oatmeal raisin for my mom), clean, eat then head to the gym.

Oatmeal-Raisin Breakfast Cookies

(gluten-free!)

Also one of My Sugar-Free Recipes.

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • scant 1/2 cup applesauce or over-ripe banana (mashed)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (I used salted pb)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 T raisins (or other dried fruit, or even chocolate chips)
  • pinch salt if desired (taste the dough to decide)
  • 1 packet stevia (or 1 tablespoon sugar. I actually omitted this altogether. If you have absolutely no sweet tooth, you can try it that way. And if you have a huge sweet tooth—or are used to “non-healthy-tasting” desserts—try adding 1/4 cup sugar. As I said above, don’t expect these to taste like your everyday oatmeal-raisin cookies. I’ll post a recipe for those soon!)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mash the banana with the nut butter, then add all other ingredients and mix until well-combined. Shape into cookies and bake for around 14 minutes. (Alternatively, you can try pulverizing the raisins and oats before combining them with the banana mixture, if you want more sweetness.)

This recipe probably yields around 10-12 cookies, but I had to guess… because I ate a considerable amount of the raw dough!

Except before the gym, I have to stop at the store and pick up applesauce, dates, spinach, tofu, and ground beef. I think the tofu will be for the frosting for the sugar cookies.

Healthy Sugar Cookies!

  • 3/4 cup ww pastry flour (or white or a gf mix like Arrowhead Mills)
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt (just under level)
  • 1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white sugar (or sucanat, coconut sugar, or evaporated cane juice)
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons nondairy milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter sub, such as Earth Balance (Some readers say you can use coconut oil, but I haven’t tried it.)

Combine dry ingredients and mix very, very well. In a separate bowl, melt the vegan butter, then stir in vanilla and milk. Pour dry into wet and mix again. Form balls or roll out (not too thin), then use a cookie cutter to make shapes. If you want soft cookies, you’ll need to get the dough very cold. (So roll the balls first, then fridge until cold.)  Cook in a 325F preheated oven for 9 minutes. They will look very underdone when you take them out, but that’s ok!! Just let them cool for 5 minutes before touching. (I know it’s hard!)

 Pretty excited about these two recipes. Not sure what I’m going to do about the sugar part because I want to put agave syrup not white sugar….:( Ill figure it out..

They turned out alright. The oatmeal ones needed a little more sugar (my mom doesn’t think so), but the sugar ones came out better then the oatmeal ones. Hmm I bet I can make both of them better. Next recipe of hers I’m going to try is the Chickpea Blondie’s

CHEST DAY TODAY! (yes, I usually do with shoulders, but I forgot. SO it gets a day to itself 😉

Chest work out will focus on Lying down chest press/ incline chest press flyes push ups and probably seated press and flyes. BTW I hate doing chest. Just like arms. Hate em. ugh. BTW!

OFFICIALLY 12 WEEKS OUT!

Super excited. I have to email Jennifer about my suit, and get everything written down for my sanity. I at least need an affirmative answer about the suit no more then a month out. I have the shoes, everything else just takes time and preparation! !!!!

SO it’s about 800pm Just got home from shopping with the madre and I ended up baking the oatmeal raisin and the sugar cookies as soon as we got home. We left at around 230- 3pm I want to say. She took me in the chocolate shop………mhm.. then we went to the gap and I found some really cool jean.. i got 3 different sizes, hopefully that will track my progress a little bit.. and here is a cool picture I took…

$45 later.. yeah all on freaking candles. and here is the lovely chocolate store:

It wasn’t even temping. Of course I saw some AMAZING things and my mouth watered as I read the labeled chocolate, but I didn’t feel anxious or a trigger what so ever, which is great. I just remind myself, I DO NOT EAT SUGAR/ PROCESSED FOODS anymore. It helps by saying it when I see something I used to binge on.. Anywho after the mall, I had to go to the store to get a few extra things to make the cookies (applesauce, dates, nut butter ext). & to think I walked into a target to get what I wanted, and walked out with just that is simply amazing, because I love target. I’m finishing up the blog and then studying my little heart out. I haven’t studied in years 😉

Day 8 = Squats(x 100) + PB + Jelly

My diet was ALL OVER THE PLACE this weekend and I feel completely horrible. AS of RIGHT NOW.. (more so this morning)….

I NO LONGER EAT SUGAR!

(besides from my fruit that is.. i ❤ my green smoothies)

8:10am I made my mom and I,  green smoothies made with unsweetened almond milk instead of orange juice (less cals) and it still tasted the same. I realized that the L-carnitine (Ice t flavor) makes it kind of sour and I LOVE IT! and I just ran out so I will have to go to GNC today or tomorrow.

@work I was running around (buying bosses daughters gifts ) so I got a diet dr pepper at the gas station (tasted like shit so I only drank a little bit) and got gum to occupy me with (kinda worked) but when I got to work I had a laughing cow (which I AM IN LOVE WITH for some ODD ass reason. because I DO NOT eat cheese).. and a Sugar Free Red Bull (ol well 3g carbs).. ❤

1pm Ate chicken and cauliflower and broccoli (wasn’t appetizing so I didn’t take a pic).. and now I’m trying to catch up on the blogging shit and trying to drink my stomach cramps away..

oh and GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS TODAY????????

YOU GOT IT! Pretty fucking excited actually. SQUATS SQUATS AND MORE SQUATS!… and some deadlifts.. and lunges.. and leg extensions and squats and some more lunges then end it with some squats .. lol.. 

4pm I have been hungry all day.. and I ate another babybel and have been drinking a shit ton of tea. I’ll eat the rest of the steak and veggies and hopefully I feel full.

7pm Drinking a protein shake before I go lift and making sweet potato fries for after. WHICH I’M PRETTY STOKED ABOUT. They. Are. Delicious.

Actually change of plans. Got home a lil late because I had to wait for Hertz (rental car) and they apparently didn’t rush or anything lol. So while I was waiting patiently, I was creeping hard on chocolate covered katie. I’m no doubt in love. So I found some cool recipes.. and when I got home I just got the ingredients together and walked marley in the mean time. When I got back I put the batter in the pan and started to bake it.

Skinny Mini Jelly Roll Cake

(Serves 1-2)

  • 1/2 cup ww pastry flour, or white or spelt (70g) (For a gf version, use this: gluten-free option.)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 100g water or other liquid (That’s 1/3 cup plus 1 T plus 1 tsp)
  • 2 packets stevia or 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons applesauce or oil
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Combine all dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, combine wet (including applesauce). Mix wet into dry, but don’t overmix. Pour into a greased 8-in circle pan or a rectangular pan. (Be sure to grease it very well, or the cake won’t come out.) Cook for 10 minutes in a NON-preheated oven at 420F. Let cool ten minutes before removing cake from pan. Then cut off all four edges so it forms a rectangle (if you used the circle pan). Spread on jam, or whatever else you wish, and roll it up. It’s that easy!

Her picture was better (:.. and the roll up just looks better lol.. But I think it would actually make sense to cut it into fourths, and making 2 PB and J sandwiches. My mom asked where hers was and I felt bad that I ATE THE WHOLE FUCKING THING. loll.. but I was about to go workout and needed the carbs lol.

Anyways Gym was great. Did over 150+ squats and lunges. WHOOP WHOOP! Took a bath in some kind of salt I don’t know how to spell and don’t wanna google it because I really wanna go to bed (even though I have the day off lol explain latah). But seriously Im so fucking tired and I have no idea why. OH and I made kale chips again but I added parmesan to them. They cooked differently but they were still good even though I added too much salt. Alright goodnight.
